Amitabh Bachchan not to host Modi’s event

Being a part of an opposing political party,Amitabh Bachchan came under scrutiny when news emerged that he was going to host the celebratory event for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However the actor has spoken out and denied such reports.

Explaining how he will only be doing a speech about the ‘Saving the Girl Child’ campaign,��Pinkvilla reported Bachchan stating, “I am not hosting the show. R Madhavan is doing. I am associated with them for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign and for the same I am going there. But I am not hosting the entire event.��I am the brand ambassador of United Nations and for the same I would be attending the event.”

Bachchan is currently gearing up for his next release ‘TE3N’ which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vidya Balan. Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta the film is set for release on 10th June.
