Amitabh Bachchan named amongst highest celebrity tax payer in India
Amitabh Bachchan has been recognised as one of India’s highest tax-paying celebrities for the financial year 2024-2025.
The 82-year-old superstar paid an astonishing Rs. 120 crore in taxes, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s Rs. 92 crore tax contribution from the previous year. According to PinkVilla, Bachchan’s total earnings for the year amounted to Rs. 350 crore, leading to the substantial tax payment.
A source told the publication, “From starring in some of Indian cinema’s biggest films to being the top choice for major brands, Amitabh remains one of the most sought-after actors even at 82. He is also the most beloved television host, thanks to Kaun Banega Crorepati. His earnings from these ventures total ₹350 crore, making him one of the industry’s highest individual earners.”
