With news of Abhishek Bachchan unceremoniously walking out of J.P Dutta’s mutli-starrer movie ‘Paltan’ at the last minute, his father Amitabh Bachchan has allegedly come to his rescue.
Reports say that Amitabh met with one of his favourite directors, Ram Gopal Varma, with a proposal to make a hard-hitting solo film with Abhishek, reports Deccan Chronicle.
Abhishek been out of the Bollywood scene for a while, and Varma, who was to make a movie called ‘Arrest’ with the actor a while ago, has not made much progress. The slowing down of the pace could be possibly attributed to Varma’s plans in the south.
A source from Varma’s camp said, “Even while Sarkar 3 didn’t do well, Amitabh really believes in Ramu. He knows that the right kind of film can always change Abhishek’s career, because his son is a very talented actor. He hasn’t gotten the big star status because the films that he has chosen to work in haven’t performed well at the box office. Everyone knows that one good hit and Abhishek will be back. Ramuji is now identifying the right script for Abhishek.”
