Amitabh Bachchan guests on ZEE’s ‘Antakshari’

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has opted to be a guest on ZEE TV’s ‘Antakshari’ show in March.

Big B as he is known moved the audience with a rendition of Khalid Hashmi’s “Main Prakash hoon, ajar amar andhakar ek nirav gunjan”. The poem specifically reflected the fact that blindness in not a drawback.

ZEE TV has produced a special six-part mini series of ‘Antakshari’ looking at socially relevant issues like problems faced by the visually impaired, shelter for senior citizens and rehabilitation of street children. The series called ‘Music for a Cause’. The telecast of the mini series will start from 25th March at 19:00 (UK). The show featuring Amitabh Bachchan will be aired on 1st April.

The show will also feature two visually challenged girls who presented a letter to Bachchan wishing his mother Teji Bachchan a speedy recovery.

ZEE TV’s version of ‘Antakshari’ has been performing better than rival STAR One’s ‘Antakshari’, which sees former ZEE TV producer Gajendra Singh at the helm. Gajendra Singh defected to STAR last year.
