Amitabh Bachchan to essay Ram Jethmalani in biopic?

It’s been rumoured that Ronnie Screwvala and Rajkumar Gupta has expressed interest in producing a film on the biopic of Ram Jethmalani, a well known lawyer.

Reported on SKJ Bollywood News, Screwvala isn’t looking to make a commercial film, instead it would be as true to Jethmalani’s life as possible. A close source shared,  “Ronnie is  not interested in making a big commercial film. He wants to tell the Jethmalani saga  as it was. The story of  boy who fled for his  life during the Partition and became the biggest legal eagle in India is inspirational and motivational.”

The source continued to add that Screwvala is looking to rope Amitabh Bachchan in to play Jethmalani in his senior years. “But there  is the younger part of Jethmalani’s life that is  very important. And if Mr Bachchan is being cast as the older Jethmalani the actor playing his younger version must be strong and powerful.”
