Amitabh Bachchan discusses his love life

Amitabh Bachchan

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has given one of his most candid interviews, in which he speaks openly about his love life.

Earlier this week, at the launch of Mayank Shekhar۪s new book, ‘Name Place Animal Thing’, Bachchan in a frank interview with GQ India said, When I was in Sherwood College boarding school in Nainital, the girls from St. Mary۪s Convent High School would come over for our drama events every year. We would be dressed in our finest, and each boy had a favourite, who he hoped would notice him. The programme for the event would be put in a beautiful hand-drawn cover that each boy had created for his crush_ that was the ultimate expression of our love.۝

He added, In Delhi University, the entire male population caught the bus that would stop outside Miranda House, even if their own college was miles away. They just wanted to look at the beautiful girls.۝

There was a play being staged for which they needed three male cast members, and I was selected from Kirori Mal College. My ambition of entering the pure and pristine walls of Miranda College was finally going to be realised. We walked in with pride, holding our heads high. But the dormitories were right above where we were standing and all the girls were standing in the balcony. The minute we walked in, they started whistling and catcalling, saying Oh ho, kya maal hai!۪. That۪s the first time I realised what ladies go through on the streets.۝
