Amitabh Bachchan attends 10 Downing Street reception
That Amitabh Bachchan is an internationally renowned star is no secret. However his reach is once again highlighted today as he entered 10 Downing Street, the office and residence of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Bachchan tweeted just a little while ago about his visit, “Difficult to keep location confidential .. it is London to attend a reception at 10, Downing Street as Guest of Honour for Charity…��I am International Patron for Silver Star Charity for Diabetes detection, where I have worked for years ! Units in UK, Goa, Mumbai”.
“Initiated by Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP, unit mobile van in Mumbai named after me ..AMITABH. Another to be launched named after my father…��Samantha Cameron wife of PM UK, hosted evening at 10 Downing Street .. and PM David Cameron also present. A rare privilege for me !!…��Had been to 10 Downing Strt., many years ago when John Major, then PM hosted a dinner, for some of us Asian Community,” Bachchan continued.
“Prime Minister David Cameron, gave exclusive time to us, in one of the many historic rooms of the Residence, 10 Downing Street,” said Bachchan in a slightly excited tone.
