Amitabh Bachchan admitted to hospital for liver problem

Bollywood legend, Amitabh Bachchan has been hospitalised over liver problems.

Mirror reports that the actor has been in hospital undergoing treatment for the past three days. He was rushed to hospital on Tuesday at 02:00.

Bachchan had contracted Hepatitis B virus during treatment in the 1982 mishap shooting for ‘Coolie’. The report adds that his liver lost 75% of its function due to cirrhosis as one of his blood donors had been carrying the virus, which entered his body during the transfusion.

While the Bachchan family has been visiting the superstar in a special room, other Bollywood stars are unaware of the news, hence no visits from anyone outside the family.
