Amit Sadh set to be signed for ‘Hamlet’?

From Abhishek Bachchan to Shahid Kapoor, many big names of Bollywood have been picked out during the quest of guessing, who is to play the lead in Onir’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet. The next actor to join that list may not be as huge, but his performance in ‘Kai Po Che’ (2012) as the Gujrati boy Vidya, deems Amit Sadh to be very promising.

According to Times of India, Onir is keen to have Sadh on board for the role in the film he has named ‘Veda’, and is looking to sign the actor soon. Currently busy with separate projects, reports have it that once they are both back in Mumbai, papers will be signed and shooting will commence early next year.

As all adaptions go, Onir will be putting a twist in the Shakespeare tragedy. To be set between Lucknow and London, ‘Veda’ will tell a story of a boy and a girl from two different backgrounds, of culture and religion.
