Amit Behl joins cast of ‘Woh Apna Sa’

Senior actor, Amit Behl recently joined ZEE TV’s Woh Apna Sa’ as Dharmesh – the uncle of lead character, Aditya, played by Ssudeep Sahir.

Behl, who is known mainly for his negative characters, returned to television in a much more positive light on the recently launched daily.

Talking about his sting, Behl said, “Even after Shanti, I was very fortunate to get shows where I got to play the lead role and Shanti is close to my heart. There was also Buddha, Jhansi Ki Rani, Kora Kagaz. I got all regular running shows, the daily shows as well as weekly shows. Woh Apna Sa is probably my 106th show. Woh Apna Sa is also very close to my heart because after doing many grey characters, this is my comeback in a positive character. And people are also praising me for that.”

Asked if he was always inclined to acting, Behl said, “I was an active sportsperson. I used to play basketball and table tennis. Apart from that, I was also inclined in dramatics, creative writing and public speaking. I started theatre in 1984, so it will be almost 33 years now in the industry.”
