Ameet Chana to direct Rifco Theatre’s desi pantomime ‘Surinderella’
Rifco Theatre Company has announced the creative team behind its upcoming desi pantomime ‘Surinderella’, set to tour this autumn.
The production will be directed by Rifco’s Associate Director Ameet Chana, marking his third directorial project with the company, following ‘Mushy: Lyrically Speaking’ and his role as associate director on ‘Frankie Goes to Bollywood’.
The music for Surinderella will be composed by British-Asian music producer Heps Jandu, popularly known as PBN, known for hits like Phatte Chuk Di and Fitteh Moo.
Pravesh Kumar, Artistic Director and writer, says: “I’m absolutely delighted to have Ameet and Heps leading the creative team. Surinderella is a magical Desi twist on the classic pantomime packed with laughter, music, and a whole lot of masala sparkle. It’s the fairy tale you know and love, reimagined with vibrant energy, colourful characters, and a touch of Bollywood flair fused with banging Desi beats. With Ameet and Heps at the helm, we’re all set for a fun-filled show the whole family will enjoy. See you in the Bolly-woods!”
