Ameesha Patel to recreate Madhuri Dixit magic

Remakes have proved to be very tricky, especially if the originals incorporate��unforgettable performances. A tribute is something that Ameesha Patel is all geared up in having a go at and that is of��no other than the Madhuri Dixit classic ‘Ek Do Teen’ song from Tezaab (1988).

The actress is all set with her own production house Ameesha Productions, to produce the film ‘Desi Magic’. A source reveals to Times of India��how the film will see Patel in a double role, where one character will be a rich (unpleasant) diva,”…and the other a Punjabi lass.��The latter will dance to��Ek Do Teen….��The music is being worked upon.”

Patel has plans��of approaching the songs original choreographer Saroj Khan to create some fresh dance moves that coincide with the original song, “We will raise the bar and make it absolutely trendy and shoot it on a lavish scale. Saroj Khan will be roped in for that.”

Patel hasn’t had a lot of success with her acting career and the thought of anyone attempting a stunt like this, is definitely a nail-biting situation. Let’s hope that, with the help of Khan, all will not be lost with the song and it’s original Madhuri magic.
