Alpha Punjabi Music awards this month

ZEE Network’s Alpha ETC Punjabi channel will be celebrating the cream of Punjabi music with the much-awaited annual music awards later this month.

The Alpha ETC Punjabi Music Awards have been dubbed as the “biggest Punjabi music awards of India” and will be taking place on Sunday 27th February at PAP Grounds, Jalandhar. Through these annual awards, the channel honours outstanding achievements in Punjabi music in various categories ranging from singing, composing, music direction to choreography et al. The award ceremony has total number of 26 different categories covering every aspect of the most happening music industry ? Punjabi Music Industry.

According to Mr. J. S. Kohli, CEO of ETC Networks Ltd, ?Punjabi Music Industry is the most vibrant music Industry around the world. The popularity of Punjabi singers and the Punjabi albums have created place for themselves in the national Pop charts and International Pop charts equally. Through these Awards Ceremony, we intend to honour the excellence in its various form. We will also honour some of the veterans in Punjabi Music with the Lifetime Achievement award for their remarkable contribution made in the field of Punjabi Music.?

The event will be screened live in India with a delayed broadcast in the UK on the same day. It will be presented by Parmeet Sethi and Divya Dutta and will feature performances by Malkit Singh and Naseebo Lal among others.
