All’s well between Rajkummar Rao & Patralekha

Rajkummar Rao

News in the grapevine of a rift between actor Rajkummar Rao and his girlfriend Patralekha has been rubbishedby the couple themselves, who not only are happily together, but Rao has even dismissed the alleged rumours, that differences between them arose due to the sizzling seductive scenes Patralekha has done in her film ‘Love Games'(2016), as utterly absurd.

Laughing off the reported squabble with Patralekha in full view of the public in the lobby of the building where they stay,Bollywood Hungamareports Rao shared, “Patralekha and I cannot stop laughing at these stories. I feel really sorry for people who spread such stories.”

In fact, Rao couldn’t stop gushing about his beau, and complimented her acting abilities, “The fact is, I am immensely proud of Patralekha and I truly respect her as a person and her work. She is one of the most talented girls I’ve met in my entire life.”

The actor, who has just completed shooting a black comedy called ‘Newton’ directed by Amit Masurkar, is fully supportive of Patralekha’s bold and beautiful makeover in ‘Love Games’. “She didn’t do this film because it’s a bold film but because it’s performance-driven role and because it is for Mahesh Bhatt Saab and Vishesh films.”

There is much speculation which now suggests that the Rajummar Rao-Patralekha rift is actually a publicity stunt to generate interest in the film. Recently, the same tactics were reported as being used for similar stories surrounding Sushant Singh Rajput and long-time girlfriend Ankita Lokhande to gain attention for his upcoming release ‘Dhoni: The Untold Story’.

Rao and Patralekha intend to get married, however, they are in no hurry to do so and the former explains why, “Right now we are both busy consolidating our respective careers. Of course we’ll get married eventually, but we haven’t given this matter much thought. Marriage would be just an extension of our relationship.”
