Alliance Advertising is expected to be confirmed as the new media agency to represent the UK’s most watched Pakistani entertainment channel, Hum TV, BizAsiaLive.com has learnt.
Alliance Advertising currently also handles Dunya TV and getting Hum TV in its possession will be a huge coup for the agency. Since its inception in the UK, Hum TV has been exclusively been led by Evolution but BizAsiaLive.com understands that a fall-out between the two has resulted in the abrupt termination of agreement as of this month. Rumours surfacing in the industry indicate the issues have arisen from an alleged financial point.
BizAsiaLive.com can reveal that Alliance Advertising will officially begin selling airtime for Hum TV Europe from 1st January 2017. Sources say that Alliance Advertising will handle sales of the existing channel, as well as sales and marketing for the upcoming Hum Gold service. The latter channel’s launch has had an impact due to the disagreement. It is now expected to launch in summer 2017.
BizAsiaLive.com understands that Alliance Advertising has already sent out feelers out various clients about the new arrangement. It is expected to go public with the news in the New Year.
Meanwhile, Evolution is currently handling news service, UK 44, as well as the upcoming A Plus entertainment channel.
