Alia Bhatt vs Kriti Sanon for Rohit Shetty’s next?

Just a short while ago, BizAsia reported that Kriti Sanon was likely to play Varun Dhawan’s love interest in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming venture which will also feature Shah Rukh Khan. However, it has emerged that Sanon is now exactly the final choice for the makers and that Alia Bhatt is also a contender for the role.

According to Ahmedabad Mirror, a source stated, “A week ago, Alia was given a narration and she’s keen to feature in the SRK-starrer tentatively titled Dilwale. She will take a final call in the coming week as she’s already committed to Shakun Batra’s next which rolls around the same time”.

“The makers, including Shah Rukh Khan, are clear that they will give priority to Alia over Kriti if the former can squeeze out the dates, which in all probability, she will,” continued the source.

Sanon is thought to have opted out of ‘Singh is Bling!’ in favour of Shetty’s next. Shetty has said official cast announcements will be made soon.
