Alia Bhatt to play Gangubai Kothewali in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next?

Since Salman Khan exited from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Inshallah’ opposite Alia Bhatt, there has been much speculation over the filmmaker’s next release.

While some have been reporting that Bhansali will continue with ‘Inshallah’ with a new male lead, others have said that he will take on a new project. Latest buzz doing the rounds is that ‘Inshallah’ girl, Bhatt, is likely to be lined up for Bhansali’s other film based on female gangster, Gangubai Kothewali. Earlier reports had indicated that the part had been offered to Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

Bhansali has already registered the titled ‘Gangubai’, so all that remains to be seen is, who will lead the project.
