Alia Bhatt to be signed to play Ma Anand Sheela?

Biopics and recreating moments from history on film has always been somewhat controversial. However, the next big project Alia Bhatt might create a little more of a stir. News has it Karan Johar is planning to create a web series based on Baba Rajneesh, also know as the Osho, and plans to have Bhatt reprise the role as his spokesperson Ma Anand Sheela.

According to Asian Age, Johar will be working on the project with director Shakun Batra, Aamir Khan and maybe even Ayan Mukerji . “Alia is comfortable working with Ayan, but then it will be a call that both Karan and Aamir (Khan) will need to make. Shakun has been doing some work on the project, which is slated to be a biopic on the life of Osho and Alia’s name has been taken in whispers even around Aamir Khan and Karan Johar with regards to this project,” a source was reported revealing.

It went on to add, “Not long ago, The Osho International Foundation has sent a notice stating that “use of any intellectual property rights owned by the foundation requires prior authorisation from the Foundation.  Various copyrighted books and audio-video recordings of Osho including Autobiography of a Spiritually Incorrect Mystic and Glimpses of Golden Childhood etc cannot be used by anyone without authorisation.”
