Following in the footsteps of Priyanka Chopra, Shraddha Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt is the latest actress to record a single by the end of this month.
Mumbai Mirror reports that the romantic song, produced by Bhushan Kumar, has been composed by Mithoon and written by Manoj Muntashir.
Talking about the song, Mithoon told Mumbai Mirror, “The idea was pitched by Bhushan four months ago. After toying with a few concepts we zeroed in on a love ballad. Alia has an unconventional voice which will add to the song’s charm. She is serious about her music and a confident singer.”
Mithoon added that it was Bhatt’s idea to pay tribute to her father Mahesh Bhatt’s work. He said, “So we may include a few musical elements from Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin and Sadak. My father, Naresh Sharma, had arranged the music for them,” the 31-year-old composer adds.
Bhatt has previously sang “Sooha Saha” from ‘Highway’ and unplugged version of ‘Samjhawan’ from ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’.
The video of the song is being shot next month.
