Alia Bhatt on working with Varun Dhawan for fourth time in ‘Kalank’

Coming together for the fourth time on screen in ‘Kalank’, the ever-so popular jodi of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, spoke about what it’s like working with each other.

Reported by Pinkvilla, Dhawan and Bhatt both kick-started their careers in ‘Student Of The Year’ (2012), which was then followed by ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ (2014) and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ (2017). For Dhawan it’s the instant connection, “It is just that I connect with her, which evokes a reaction, and I guess this is what translates on-screen.”

Bhatt however shares that she suffers from anxiety after the completion of a film. “Every time we work together I have this separation anxiety that now maybe we won’t get a chance to collaborate. And then we are working together in the next two weeks.”

For each of the films they have worked together on, the ‘Raazi’ (2018) star added that neither of them can take the credit for reinventing their pairing on screen. Bhatt says it is all down to the writers and director’s vision that helps them and they execute it with a lot of passion and zest.

Dhawan and Bhatt have both been busy promoting Karan Johar’s upcoming period drama ‘Kalank’, which will be releasing this week on the 17th April. The film also stars Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha.
