Alia Bhatt keen to be directed by father for ‘Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin’ remake

The ever popular 1991 hit ��Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin�۪ is remembered fondly even today. BizAsia had reported in December that it was likely the film would be remade with Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor stepping into Pooja Bhatt and Aamir Khan�۪s roles. Now, it�۪s emerged that Alia has almost definitely been signed for the film and she�۪s keen for father Mahesh to direct it.

Mahesh has not directed in 15 years and he�۪s adamant that he will not direct this film either. A source told Subhash K Jha, ���Alia is very keen to be directed by Bhatt Saab just once. She feels the remake of Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin is the best occasion for it. But Bhatt Saab is adamant. He will get someone else to direct. While he will script the remake�۝.

Makers are very keen for Kapoor to be the male lead but he hasn�۪t given his nod to the film as yet.
