Alia Bhatt started out in the industry as a lead actress at the age of 19. However, in the three years she’s been in the industry, her filmography so far shows that she is a hugely talented and bankable star. However, she recently said that she has no time to sign any more films.

Bhatt spoke in an interview with Hindustan Times about plans to do a film with her home banner, “Whenever I۪ll do my family banner۪s film, it will be a big one. So, we have to be sure about it. I have a lot of thoughts. The remake of Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi (1991) was Pooja۪s (Bhatt; sister) idea, and I said, I would love to do it.۝ We want to take it forward, but only in the right way…But right now, there are no talks, as I don۪t have the time to sign any new film. I have three movies releasing next year, and I۪ll start work on another one in 2016.” Bhatt is going to be seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Gauri Shinde’s next, opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji’s next and also in Karan Johar’s production ‘Shuddhi’ – the last of which is rumoured to have been shelved.

Talking about Mukerji’s next in which she will be seen opposite her crush Kapoor, Bhatt commented, “I am very excited, because that film will go on the floors at a time when I would have had two releases behind me, and would want to be on the sets again. Also, I have a superb equation with Ayan. He is my 3am friend. Working on a set with him would be very interesting. And I have made no bones about the fact that I am very fond of Ranbir, as an actor. Now, I know him very well as a person too. Karan (Johar; film-maker) recently told me, Ranbir is the best person to have on the sets.۝ I have heard similar things from Imtiaz (Ali; director) too.”

Bhatt also talked about her feelings before the release of ‘Shaandaar’, “I am so stressed that my dentist told me I am grinding my teeth due to stress. So, every evening, I get shooting pain from my jaw to my head. I am nervous, but I am not scared. Everyone۪s films have done well of late. So when your film doesn۪t do well, you ask yourself, Oh, did I make a wrong choice?۝ And I strongly feel that it۪s your choices that make a good career. The track record has to be good.”

‘Shaandaar’ is slated for release on 22nd October and Bhatt will be seen opposite Shahid Kapoor for the first time.
