Alia Bhatt happy with her ‘Udta Punjab’ look

Alia Bhatt’s character in her upcoming film, ‘Udta Punjab’, is already winning her much praise, as well as causing some controversy. While some believe the character is playing too much on Bihari stereotypes, Bhatt is happy with her look in the film.

Deccan Chronicle quote Bhatt as saying, “I was very happy when I walked on the sets with the look; usually the assistants clear the way for the stars as soon as they go on the sets, but these guys could not recognise me and I entered saying, ‘hutto, hutto‘ (move, move)’. They all assumed I was an onlooker who had come to see the shoot.”

With regards to those making assumptions about her character already, the actress stated, “It is better for us to remain silent because when people make assumptions based on what they see in the trailer, it could perhaps not be true.”

The Abhishek Chaubey directed film stars Bhatt alongside Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh. It releases on 17th June.
