Alia Bhatt doesn’t feel she’s a star yet?

Alia Bhatt

She stormed onto the big screens in 2012 with ‘Student of the Year’, and as the years have gone on Alia Bhatt has been getting better and better. Being applauded for her performances ever since, she has been labelled a star already. However, the actress herself feels she isn’t worthy of such a title yet.

Talking in an interview Hindustan Times reported Bhatt stating, “Honestly, I feel stardom comes with a body of work. I don۪t feel like any of us (the younger lot) are stars right now_ At least I feel I۪m not a star yet. I have done just four films.”

The actress went onto say, “I don۪t think I have reached that stage. Stardom comes with consistent quality work, which is exactly what I want to do. I feel fortunate that I have had four hits, but I still feel I have a long way to go.”

There were recent reports claiming that Bhatt had been approached to play a role in the remake of Subash Ghai’s 1989 classic ‘Ram Lakhan’, however, the actress expressed that this is actual fact not the case.

Bhatt will next been seen in Vikas Bahls ‘Shandaar’. She will be paired with Shahid Kapoor for the first time, where Pankaj Kapur and Sanjay Kapoor will also be seen playing important characters. The film is set for release in 2015.
