Alia Bhatt comfortable without make-up for ‘Highway’
Her debut film saw her playing the high school hottie, where her appearance had to represent perfection. For her second film ‘Highway’ however, Alia Bhatt has experienced the complete opposite, where she will be seen wearing very little if no make-up what so ever.
Talking to the media, NDTV reported the actress explaining, “I didn’t really have any problem shooting without make-up. In fact, there was no stress about touch-up, the more crumpled the clothes, the better it was.So the dirtier I looked in appearance, the better it was. So I didn’t have to think much and that was actually very comfortable.”
Also starring Randeep Hooda, the film sees it’s characters travel on what looks like a long and difficult journey. Talking about shooting such scenes and how she had to push herself, Bhatt went on to say, “There were couple of moments where I surprised myself. But they were more physical strength moments, not really acting as such. I felt I was very weak in terms of pushing myself but I managed to do it.”
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, ‘Highway’ is set to hit the big screens on February 21.
