Alia Bhatt clarifies her stance on feminism

Alia Bhatt was recently quoted by a popular magazine as having said she is not a feminist. ��Naturally, this led to much controversy and Bhatt has now gone on record to clarify her stance.

The young actress posted on her personal Twitter account saying, “To clarify, I absolutely AM a feminist. To deny feminism would be to deny equality for my gender… What I *meant* to say was that I’m not an active part o a feminist campaign right now!! That’s it :)”

It can be noted that in the latter half of last year, popular Bollywood hairstylist and ex ‘Bigg Boss’ contestant, Sapna Bhavnani had claimed to have heard Bhatt label herself as”part-feminist”, which Bhavnani��insulted the actress for.
