Alia already prepping for Meghna Gulzar’s next

Alia Bhatt was last seen in ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ which released earlier this year. She’s been on a much-deserved break since but will soon shoot for Meghna Gulzar’s short film before starting Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Dragon’ and Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’.

Bhatt spoke about Gulzar’s film, according to DNA, “I won’t give you too many details. All I will say is that I am going to start something very exciting in the month of July. I feel it’s a really interesting project, has a great story and is one of my most challenging roles till date. Every time I think that I am doing those challenging roles, a new one comes up. I am already prepping”.

Earlier, BizAsiaLive.com had revealed that the film will be an espionage thriller with Bhatt portraying a Kashmiri girl married to an army officer. The story will revolve around her juggling responsibilities as a wife and her duties towards her nation in the lead up to the Indo-Pak war in 1971.

It’s thought that Dharma Productions will be producing the film and the male lead is yet to be confirmed.
