Ali Fazal’s fans request his attendance for ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ in Pakistan

With the Bollywood release ban having been lifted in Pakistan, there is much excitement to what will be releasing in the Country over the next few weeks. News has it however, that Mudassar Aziz’z ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ (2016) is getting most of the attention in particular, and it’s Ali Fazal who is the most sought after to attend its premiere.

As Deccan Chronicle reports, with the film being set in Pakistan and Fazal having a huge fan following there, audiences are eager to see the film on the big screen. Due to this, the actor has received a number of messages requesting him to come and meet them when the film premiers. However it seems Fazal won’t be able to make the event on this occasion. “I don’t know if I can make the trip now, but I do hope, in the near future I will be able to. Until then, I hope for the best from the Pakistani censor board,” Fazal was reported expressing.

Talking about the ban, Fazal went on to say, “I stand by my country, but we must also understand that art must flow freely. Strangling art is death of time.”

The ban on Hindi films being released in Pakistan was due to the rising tension between the country and India.
