Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha’s public displays of affection have been a sight to see for all fans. The loved up pair were even about to take their relationship to the next level and get married this year. But the plans were promptly halted due to the current pandemic.

And whilst the second season of ‘Mirzapur’ is preparing for release on Amazon Prime this week, Fazal recently sat down with the media and discussed the show and his new marriage plans, reports Pinkvilla. He said, “I’m definitely not getting married in a year that has two zeros and two twos. We’ll probably wait for the next year. The only good thing for me this year is Mirzapur 2 coming which will keep people away from the toxicity on social media.”

Recently, Chadha’s name was also brought up almost when an altercation happened between Anurag Kashyap and Payal Ghosh where the star accused the ‘Manmarziyaan’ (2018) director of sexual misconduct. During this time, Ghosh allegedly also said something derogatory about Chadha’s character in which the ‘Fukrey’ (2013) star replied with a legal case of her own against Ghosh.

Amid all this, Fazal took a strong stand and supported his fiancé. He commented on the matter and said, “I’m glad that men can be feminists and strong ones at the same time. We just want to be there for the ones we love and make sure the society is shaped into something better. We are going to try and be there for everybody. Richa is close to me and of course, I would stand by her through everything.”

The new season of ‘Mirzapur’ releases on Amazon Prime at the end of the week.
