Ali Asgar opens up about fall out with Kapil Sharma

When Ali Asgar came on stage this week at the launch of ‘The Drama Company’ in Filmistan, he was the centre of all eyes.

Loved as the alcoholic Daadi and flirtatious Begum on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show,’ he will now be seen as a man here. Ali was also bombarded with a number of questions relating to his exit from ‘The Kapil Sharma Show,’ in which Ali took the opportunity to come out and explain his view, reports Bollywood Life.

Asgar said, “I was surprised. Bahut saari baatein mere mudde se mere logon tak nahi pahuchayi gayi thi (There were a number of things which I did not speak upon, all related to me). Aur iss baat ko kaafi uchala ja raha hai (My silence was being speculated on). Mera koi jhagda naa hua, naa to mera koi jhagda hain (I did not have a fight nor do I have an enmity). I parted ways because I was not happy how my character was progressing or shaping up. I was not getting a proper answer from the team. Australia jaaane se pehle maine bata diya ki I won’t be a part of it, mera contract renew mat karna (Before leaving for Australia, I told them not to renew my contract as I am not happy).”

Asgar further said when he returned, his contract was on the verge of ending. It was terminating on 23rd April and then an unfortunate incident happened. He allegedly took ill once he was back from Australia and was in bed for 12 days. He informed the team that his contract is over and mentioned that if he just left without informing the channel, they would not have spared him. Ali maintained he had a proper reason but the matter was blown out of proportion and gossip spread around like wild fire.

Talking about Kapil Sharma, Asgar said, “I have never been part of any controversy. Kapil is my colleague. We worked together for four years. I have learnt from him. I cannot think badly about him or anyone. I am fond of him.” He said he did not comment then as it would fuel gossip and thought it would be wiser to stay quiet.
