Ali Asgar on leaving ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’

Ali Asgar was the popular character of Dadi in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. However, he left the show and nothing much has been said until now.

Asgar left the show after Sunil Grover’s spat with Kapil Sharma and hasn’t returned since. He is quoted by DNA, “It is unfortunate. There are times when you are at crossroads and you have to take a decision. I miss the show and the stage. We have walked together as a team. But a time came when I felt professionally I had reached a point. I moved out due to creative differences as my character had become stagnant and wasn’t going anywhere. There was no scope for improvement in it”.

The show has since seen its ratings fluctuate and Grover is all set to be seen in a new show soon.
