BizAsiaLive.com reported recently that filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar could be seen helming a superhero trilogy which would star Katrina Kaif. News has it that work on that project has started after Zafar’s ‘Mr India 2’ has been dropped.
It seems ‘Mr India 2’ has been put on the backburner after Zafar and ZEE Studios were threatened with legal action from the original film’s team, as reported by Box Office Worldwide. As such, the superhero film is reportedly now Zafar’s focus. A source explained, “They never expected such a hue and cry over the Mr. India franchise. After Mr. India’s director Shekhar Kapur decided to sue them, Zee Studios and Ali Abbas Zafar quietly dropped Mr. India and decided to do something else.”
Kaif is going to start her training for the film soon.
