Al Jazeera International tests move up a notch

Al Jazeera International has moved a step closer in its launch on Sky Digital next month.

The much awaited English version of the successful Al Jazeera network channel could launch as soon as early-November but officials are yet to confirm this.

Today, tests of Al Jazeera International, which have been showing a promotional video on loop for the past few months has started carrying now/next programming data on its EPG banner. The video remains unchanged.

With programmes finalised and new reporter/presenter appointments made over the last year, Al Jazeera International will no doubt change the face of international news broadcasting in a big way. By the look of things, the channel is now seeking final confirmation on its launch from Sky before turning on its red On Air۪ light for good.

Al Jazeera shot to fame during the 9/11 attacks in New York when it aired exclusive video messages from terror leader Osama Bin Laden. The channel has controversially played home to the terrorist.
