Al Jazeera has rebranded its children’s channel from Al Jazeera Children to Jeem TV as an effort to keep the two brands separate.
As explained by the company who designed the branding of the new Arabic channel, Tarek Atrissi Design said, “Jeem is an Arabic letter that is the first letter of Al Jazeera word, the pan Arab news satellite channel behind the children channel. Working with simply one arabic letter was very challenging for creating the logo, yet it was an interesting challenge as it involved crafting a unique lettering for the Jeem (?) arabic letter. Weeks of sketching explored various lettering approaches to present the isolated form of Jeem in a graphic rendering that makes it owned as a brand logo mark.”
Jeem TV will continue broadcasting children’s shows with new branding and a new on-air look.
Jeem TV is available on Sky Digital channel 823.
