Al Arabiya set for Sky Digital launch

News channel Al Arabiya is set to launch in the UK after EPG data tests were spotted on the Sky Digital platform.

The English-language 24 hours news channel, launched in Saudi Arabia in 2003. According to its website, “Al Arabiya�۪s reputation for sober and balanced reporting now extends beyond its natural geographic and cultural domain, i.e. the Middle East. A number of renowned international news organizations and research institutes interested in the Arab and Islamic worlds regularly monitor Al Arabiya.”

The broadcaster says it has 30 offices around the world and large-scale presence in several key countries such as Iraq, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, and Yemen.

Al Arabiya is expected to be added to the EPG later this month.

EPG data tests for Al Arabiya can be found at the following parameters below:
-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> Select System Setup
-> Select Add Channels
-> Enter frequency: 11.307 (H), FEC: 2/3, SR: 27500 / DVB-S / QPSK
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight ���52285? service and press Yellow button
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> Select & view label ���52285�۝
