Akshaye Khanna’s next to be a comedy?

Akshay Khanna has been seen in serious characters like his in ‘Dishoom’ (2016) and ‘Ittefaq’ (2017) as of late, but he is reportedly ready to tickle our funny bones in a comedy directed by debutante director Karan Kashyap. Khanna is also reportedly mighty impressed with the script and may also produce the film as well.

A trade source revealed, “Akshaye Khanna has a brilliant role in the film. He has impressed everyone with his performances with films like Mom, Ittefaq and The Accidental Prime Minister on his comeback trail, and has picked up the film because he could not refuse the comic role. He has been staying away from comedy films because he did not want to do slapstick roles anymore. The director Karan Kashyap is also a debutant. In fact, Akshaye is so impressed with the film that he may also turn presenter of the film,” as according to Deccan Chronicle.

Khanna was last seen in ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ (2019).
