Akshaye Khanna made a comeback in recent release ‘Dishoom’ (2016). The actor starred in 2001’s ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ which could be described as the start of films on male-bonding. When asked about whether he would be interested in a sequel, he had an interesting answer.
“I۪ll leave everything to act in it,” said Khanna, according to Hindustan Times. He added, “I۪ll do it provided that the script is fantastic. Also, it has to receive a collective thumbs up from the rest of the team members”.
Talking about how times have changed for this generation of actors, Khanna went on to say, “Talent took a backseat a long time ago, he says, adding, It۪s not that it isn۪t valued, but these aspects have taken over in the past few years. One mustn۪t fight it; one should just accept it and move on. You must have an appetite for this, and I simply don۪t have it.”
