Akshay-Twinkle daughter named after Rajesh Khanna

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s newly born daughter has been named Nitara Khanna Bhatia – retaining the ‘Khanna’ name as respect to Rajesh Khanna.

The star baby was born on Tuesday 25th September at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai. Her name had been kept underwraps until now. The name was disclosed today with ‘Khanna’ being retained after Rajesh Khanna and ‘Bhatia’, which is father Akshay’s surname. Rajesh Khanna passed away in July this year.

In a statement earlier this week, Kumar said, “We are blessed with a lovely baby girl who looks just like her mother and grandmother. I have no words to express my happiness. I would like to thank everyone for their blessings and best wishes.”
