Akshay-Sonakshi’s ‘Namastey England’ on hold?

Recently, it was announced that Sonakshi Sinha would be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in ‘Namastey England’. However, it is now being said that the Vipul Shah production has been put on the backburner for now.

“It’s a brilliant script but the story demands a lot of prep and the film has to be lavishly mounted. Since this takes time, Vipul has decided to put the film on hold while he arranges the finances,” said a source, according to Mumbai Mirror.

It seems both Kumar and Sinha have now began focusing on their other ongoing and upcoming projects.

The film was tipped to be the sequel to 2007’s ‘Namastey London’ but this was denied y Shah. It was supposed to go on the floors in August and was apparently to be shot in England, Paris, Switzerland and Brussels.
