The collaboration between Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar is finally happening in the upcoming ‘Sooryavanshi’. It seems the duo are planning a very different addition to Shetty’s cop universe which will add to ‘Singham’ franchise and ‘Simmba’ (2018).
A source informed Deccan Chronicle, “Akshay had a series of meetings with Rohit Shetty about the action. The only way it made sense to do one more cop franchise under Rohit’s direction was to give the audience the kind of action they had not seen before.”
Kumar is known for his larger than life stunts and it seems he’s be going one step further for this film. The source added, “It isn’t an attempt to be one-up. It’s just to keep Rohit Shetty’s cop universe updated and on its toes”.
The film also stars Katrina Kaif.
