Akshay Kumar wishes to personify modern-day Lord Shiva

Akshay Kumar Gabbar is Back

Bollywood action hero Akshay Kumar is now in a mood to work on some mythological projects and also wishes to produce the same. The actor is mostly known about his comedy and action films but now is keen to do some cultural stuff as well. After playing the role of Lord Krishna in Umesh Shukla’s ‘OMG Oh My God!’ (2013), he now discloses his wish to play Lord Shiva.

Kumar told Hindustan Times, “I want to make a film on today’s interpretation of Lord Shiva, a cool dude. His style of talking and walking should be like the times he lived in. So my Shiva character would be like rich, strong, and intelligent.”

Stirring all souls he briefed, how in his childhood he used to enjoy the company of his grandmother while watching religious films like Har Har Gange, Jai Santoshi Maa and so following the same mythological content has been a part of his life. The 47-year-old also revealed his surmise on ‘Karma’ saying, “Karma and fortune brought me to the industry, but luck played an important part in getting the right roles, producers and directors. There are a lot of good-looking, talented boys out there waiting outside a producer۪s office, but they are not lucky enough. It is 30 per cent hard work and 70 per cent luck that has kept me going.”

His upcoming venture ‘Gabbar is Back’ in which he plays a vigilante, will hit the theatres on Friday.
