Akshay Kumar to romance Radhika Madan in ‘Soorarai Pottru’ Hindi remake?

Rumour has it that Radhika Madan has bagged the leading lady’s role in the upcoming Hindi remake of Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ (2020) which starred Suriya. The film is reportedly going to star Akshay Kumar in the protagonist’s role.

The Hindi remake is being helmed by Sudha Kongara who directed the Tamil original. A source revealed to Mid-Day, “The film is in pre-production stage, with the director having reportedly set the adaptation in western India. In all likelihood, Radhika will play a woman from rural Maharashtra. She will have to learn a specific dialect before the film goes on floors”.

Aparna Balamuralia played female lead in the original film opposite Suriya.

If the speculation is true, this is the first time Madan will be working with Kumar and it will no doubt be interesting to see them on screen together.
