Akshay Kumar to promote ‘OUATIMD’ at Ind-Pak cricket match

As part of its marketing strategy for ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara’, Akshay Kumar has arrived in the UK to promote his film at the India-Pakistan champions trophy cricket match this weekend.

The match takes place in Birmingham tomorrow. Kumar has cut his holiday short in New York to be in the UK.

Incidentally, his character in the film Shoaib will be seen as a powerful don who wields the power to influence a cricket match.

“As a company known for pushing the envelope on marketing, we will have our Shoaib attending the India-Pakistan match at Edgbaston. Cricket is a perfect fit with his character in the film, as evidenced in the film’s first trailer as well,” Balaji Motion Pictures CEO Tanuj Garg said in a statement.

The film releases on Thursday 15th August.
