Akshay Kumar to compete with himself on Republic Day 2015?

We’ve heard of box office clashes amongst the biggest of stars but an actor competing with himself on the same day is a new one! Well, according to latest vibes, two of Akshay Kumar’s big releases could witness a clash on India’s Republic Day in 2015.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has announced the release date of his ‘Gabbar’ for the patriotic day, the same day that Neeraj Pandey will be releasing his untitled film also starring Kumar. Mumbai Mirror reports that Kumar was not amused with the decision especially as the decision was made without consulting him.

The report adds that this led to Kumar having a heated conversation with Sabina Khan – the co-producer of ‘Gabbar’ on the decision. “Akshay is sure that if both the films release simultaneously, the conflict will only divide his audience. Sabina was taken aback by the conversation and Akshay’s anger but she promised to look into the matter,” added the source.
