Akshay Kumar: “The value of realism is increasing”

During his initial years in the film industry, Akshay Kumar bagged the title of ‘Khiladi Kumar’ owing to his admirable action sequences. ��However, soon after, the actor proved his versatility and has since been balancing various genres of films in his resume. Kumar believes that the audience is changing and is more open to realistic films now.

DNA India quote Kumar as having said, “Times are changing. The youth is understanding the value of these kinds of cinema – like ‘Baby’, which was about RAW.. there weren’t any songs in it. But it did good business. So automatically the value of realism is increasing and will go on rising.”

Kumar was last seen in the commercial��masala film, ‘Singh Is Bliing’ (2015).

The actor will next be seen in��Raja Krishna Menon’s ‘Airlift’ opposite Nimrat Kaur, a film based on the Iraq-Kuwait war. ��He will then be seen in the commercial comedy ‘Housefull 3’.
