Akshay Kumar starts shooting for ‘Robot 2.0’ in Chennai

Akshay Kumar grabbed headlines when he was singed for ��Robot 2.0�۪, the sequel to the Tamil film ��Enthiran�۪, as an antagonist, starring alongside megastar Rajnikanth.

The film also marks Akshay Kumar�۪s debut in the Tamil film industry.

Akshay Kumar reached Chennai, Tamil Nadu yesterday and is all set to start shooting for the film. He was warmly greeted at the Chennai airport by the airport staff.

There have been many Bollywood actresses who acted in South Films but Akshay Kumar is the only Bollywood superstar to act in a film in the South in recent times.

Shankar, the director of the film has plans to shoot the dummy video footage for the first two days after Akshay. Post that, they will shoot for the film non-stop without any break for the next few weeks. Whilst the set has been constructed in Poonamalle (West Chennai), action director Stunt Silva will be in charge of training local stuntmen, who will in turn be supervised by Hollywood action directors.

The special effects will be created along with a team of VFX professionals who will then help the crew achieve the much desired effects.

Amy Jackson will play the female lead and the music will be composed by Double Academy Winner A.R Rahman.
