Akshay Kumar promotes ’83’ in ‘Mission Mangal’?
‘Mission Mangal’ (2019) has become a hit at the box office by resonating with the audience, but some viewers are curious about whether the scenes mentioning the 1983 Cricket World Cup are an intentional marketing tactic for Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film ‘83’.
According to Times of India, two scenes feature Akshay Kumar speaking about the World Cup, one praising Kapil Dev, and another discussing the underdog nature of the win. While ‘Mission Mangal’ and ‘83’ have no association, this is definitely an interesting coincidence timing wise, since ‘83’ is currently filming in the UK.
Directed by Kabir Khan, ‘83’ features Singh as Kapil Dev as well as Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem and Harddy Sandhu, amoung others. The film will release on 10th April, 2020.
