Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra who will be next seen in the period drama ‘Kesari’, are due to head to Jaipur to shoot for a romantic number which is remaining part left of the film.
Reported on Mumbai Mirror, Kumar and the rest of the team had started shooting for ‘Kesari’ earlier this year, but this one song was still outstanding. “Akshay has been shooting at the helipad at Filmcity, where a set was recreated after the one at Wai was gutted in a fire in April 10 days before wrap up. A lavishly mounted romantic number is still left to be shot and after considering various cities, the team finalised on Jaipur for it. It will be shot over four days next week and will be choreographed by Vijay Ganguly,” says a source.
Produced by Karan Johar, ‘Kesari’ is based on the Battle of Saraghari which happened in 1897. Kumar plays the character of Havildar Ishar Singh and narrates the encounter between 21 Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army and 100,000 strong troop of Afghani tribesmen in the Saraghari outpost.
Johar describes the Saraghari’ as “The bravest battle ever fought”.
‘Kesari’ is slated to release in March 2019.
