Akshay Kumar not doing ‘MasterChef India 2’

Akshay Kumar will not be involved in the second series of ‘MasterChef India 2’, according to reports.

The new series, which is expected to start in the next couple of months will see real-life chefs front the show.

Talking to Bollywood Hungama, Ajit Andhare, CEO, Colosseum Media Private Limited, who is producing the show, went on record to say that they are now looking real chefs to host the second season of the show. Names of the topmost contenders who have been shortlisted to replace Akshay include the globally famous chefs like Atul Kocchar, Vineet Bhatia and Vikas-Khanna, while the chefs from season one (Kunal Kapoor, Ajay Chopra) will be retained for the second season as well. Andhare also added that the season two will have 20 to 26 episodes.

Other reports also suggest that Akshay will be seen in the first episode of the second series to get the show on the road.
