Akshay Kumar makes special request to Yo Yo Honey Singh

Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh seems to be the flavour for success in Bollywood right now. Having worked with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Sunny Leone and Amitabh Bachchan, Singh is now set to work once again with Akshay Kumar after the actor made a special request to the popular musician.

Kumar is all set to remake 1982 film ‘Shaukeen’ which will see him starring with Lisa Haydon. Kumar made a request to Singh to do a special song for the movie but the latter insisted on doing three. He told Bollywood Hungama, “Main aisa hi hoon. Anything for a friend. And there are two stars in Bollywood for whom I’d do anything. Akshay Paaji and Shah Rukh bhai are like my brothers. When Akshay Paaji requested me to do one song, I told him, ‘Ek kyun, teen le lo’. I feel my tuning with Akshay Paaji is such that he is able to put a face to what I sing as effectively as I do.”

Singh was also present with Khan at the Indian Premier League (IPL) match in Abu Dhabi after being invited by King Khan himself.

‘Shaukeen’ is set to star Haydon in the female lead role after Nargis Fakhri left the project in favour of a Hollywood venture.
